Identifying patients eligible for inclusion is a perennial challenge for clinical trials, especially those in rare conditions. To support accrual, investigator-initiated trials can benefit from informatics tools to help them find and enroll patients on trials.
The NCATS Accrual to Clinical Trials (ACT) Network is an NIH-led effort that allows investigators to query EHR data from nearly all CTSA hubs nationwide to determine counts of eligible patients for clinical trials.
